Malashree (born Sridurga Pandey) is a leading Indian actress known primarily for her work in Kannada cinema, with appearances in Telugu and Tamil films. She has acted in over 100 movies across a three-decade career. Beginning as a child artiste in Imayam (1979), she rose to stardom with Nanjundi Kalyana (1989). Popularly called “Kanasina Rani,” she dominated the 1990s with women-centric hits and won the Filmfare Award for Hrudaya Haadithu and the Karnataka State Film Award for Ganga.
