Mumtaj, born Nagma Khan on 5 July 1980, is an Indian actress and dancer known for her work in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema. She made her screen debut with T. Rajendar’s Monisha En Monalisa and gained popularity through films such as Kushi, Chocolate, Gemini, and Veerasamy. She also became widely recognised for glamorous song appearances, including “Machiniye” from Star and “Malai Malai” from Chocolate. After appearing on Bigg Boss Tamil 2, Mumtaj announced her retirement from the film industry in 2018.
