Mumtaj, born Nagma Khan on 5 July 1980, is an Indian actress and dancer celebrated across Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema. She began her career with T. Rajendar’s Monisha En Monalisa and rose to fame through films like Kushi, Star, Gemini, and Veerasamy. Renowned for her glamorous song appearances, she delivered memorable numbers such as “Machiniye” from Star and “Malai Malai” from Chocolate. Following her stint on Bigg Boss Tamil 2, Mumtaj announced her retirement from films in 2018.
